Meanwhile, you can link in to Radio X T Z - Sixty Hours of Christmas runs through midnight tonight; and even then, we’ll gradually taper off between now and 1/6; 1/7 will be the first day without ANY Christmas music since 11/26/10…
Thank you, FishStix! I know you didn’t mean it this way, but since it’s my birthday today, I will deliberately misinterpret your comment to mean that you’re happy it’s my birthday. (hey, sometimes I have to create my own birthday cheer. One of the downfalls of having a Dec 26 birthday.)
ITs NOT after Christmas,
This is only the second Day of Christmas,
like in the song. There are ten more days to go before Christmas is over.
the Holiday is in full swing,
NOW is the time for parties and carols.
Jusycat is absolutely right.
and its not just an Italian tradition, its the tradition for all Christians.
Some Americans have been deluded by advertising into
confusing the shopping season with the Christmas Season.
The only reason the stores take their decorations down is because they cant sell you Christmas presents any more.
Lets go caroling, let us celebrate the birth of Christ.
you cant celebrate a birth before the fact!
If Jesus truly is the reason for the season for YOU, then it is Christmas every day, in spite of the date on the calender or the displays in the store or what others do or don’t do. Christian joy runs much deeper than just a superficial, temporary happiness based on feelings which come and go, rise and fall. It’s an attitude anchored in the unchanging promises of a loving God who is continually making all things work together for our good.

So do I, Earl. That’s when the season really ends.

The answer is not to let yourself get so high on Christmas. Moderate!

Lovely message from Italy. Thank you. Never apologize for your English. Let us be responsible for what we do to our language!
