A person can have average or above average intelligence and choose not to indulge it. People who are known to be intelligent at work argue the merits of one superhero over the other, which actor portrayed a villain better, fantasy sports teams, all of the time. I sit there listening to them thinking, How can someone so smart be so stupid?
After living in the UK for many years and now living in Canada, I am amazed at the dearth of intelligent game shows in North America. The only one I watch regularly is Jeopardy and even that is quite mild compared to shows like University Challenge or Mastermind.

And most of the ânewsâ shows. Amazing how much the interpretation of one event can vary so much.

I never tell anyone that I watch shows that start with âViewer Discretion Advised.â I mean, I can be discrete.

Must be one of the better channels. 200 of the channels we get seem to be an offense to an average baboonâs intelligence.
