I had this conversation (about how unpleasant and just BORING live games are) Saturday night with my friend’s father, who recently retired from TV broadcasting and used to do a lot of NFL games. I wonder if the new NFL CBA (or is it the network deals?) will still force blackouts if games don’t sell out, because you couldn’t pay me to attend a game. Pay for parking, take ~ an hour to leave the lot, pay exorbitant prices for food and drink, get exposed (literally) to loud, boorish idiots, sit in uncomfortable seats, etc. etc.
