I have no children myself, but I seem to recall cousins and children of friends going through 3 or 4 outfits a day as newborns, especially those born in colder months. How do those tiny outfits not get worn out or stained past using? Newborns produce the most toxic waste imaginable from both ends! My dad turned GREEN when a sick friend asked him to change her baby’s diaper – it was hilarious – and the mess was incredible.
In other words, why would you even expect those outfits to last?

The parents in my extended family have all been warned not to buy clothes right away.

That’s the reason why I always buy other larger sizes, usually for 6 months and up to 12 months.
