It’s the beads of sweat on Monty’s brow that are setting him off…

Read the clues, man! Your cat is not afraid of water nor bathes….He’s afraid of sponges!

You’re making this way too hard.

Just tell him he’s forbidden to take baths, and make a serious effort to keep him from it.

I sure hope he has a well stocked first aid kit.

Just use the old “throw him in the lake and learn to swim” therapy.

Oh no! He used the word “moist”! There must be so many overly sensitive people freaking out right now!

Poor Fleshy, out of his own time 50 myfn to see how it was during the Anthropocene. Now he sees it does have draw backs for his delicate skin. (cats and dogs were extinct by then. He is a rodent [squirrel] evolved to fit a cat’s niche.)

Actually, a baby bottom wipe might be good for a hairless cat’s skin.

Monty, you are not, and never will be, a competent feline psychologist. Also, you are not very good at reading Fleshy’s playful shredding of your damp sponge—might even have religious overtones, who knows? How he will react to a container of moist towelettes is too terrible to contemplate….
