Grog, I took the sundial reference as a sarcastic remark. In other words, the sundial would be quicker than waiting for Opal to find it. My take anyways. :^)
One advantage to a wristwatch–when you need to do something at a specific time, like a meeting, I find a watch easier to glance at and find out how close I am to having to stop what I’m doing and go to the meeting.
A friend gave my husband a clock when he retired that had all the numbers lying in a jumble at the bottom of the clock.

Tap the ‘display’ button on the TV remote. Muffin probably got up to see if Earl was doing something interesting.

Hmmm, it’s probably a digital sundial.

I don’t use my phone, its display is too small to read without my glasses. Instead I check the time on my MP3 player.

Is it time to go fishin, or time to take a nap?

The sundial is probably the only one with the correct time.

I never could wear a watch, the watch band bothered me, so the cell phone works great for me.

Does Opal apparently lose her cell phone that has a time? Ahh, Opal, you can borrow my clock.

I still like my wristwatch with the LARGE numbers. Don’t even need my glasses to see what time it is.

All this time Opal and Earl never got Nelson to program the VCR or, set the clock…
I visit my mom in AZ once a year and have to reset her digital clocks because the power went out sometime during the year…

Yeah, but you’d think they’d have a grandfather clock or something, ♠Lonewolf♠
COWBOY7 almost 14 years ago
That would have worked too, Grog.

Earl, you might have a problem if it is night time.
Ya know?
