Where do writers like Petey get their ideas from? Now you know.

Just out of curiosity, can the average four-year-old wash their own hair, or is this another example of Alice’s precociousness?

This probably doesn’t mean anything to anyone, but back in the 1800s a German writer made one of the first comic books called “Der Struwelpeter.” It was supposed to teach kids obedience. The only reason I bring it up is because Alice looks an awful lot like Struwelpeter. I think this is the link to a picture. (Don’t know how to insert a picture)

In my experience, if they DO try to wash their own hair, they have similar results (mom saying/shouting: NOT SO MUCH!). My nearly-three year old twins can do much of the scrubbing, but it is ALWAYS mom who applies the shampoo (it gets expensive otherwise).

I’d love to know which shampoo is that to make her hair so poofy! Mine always falls flat! LOL! Love the strip!

Alice’s “do” reminds me of the wig that Peppermint Patty wore for her ice skating contest. Not that Patty carried it off with anything close to Alice’s flair! “Ooh La La!”
