I’m stymied. Is there more to the joke than the doc saying beer instead of clear?

This drawing is funny in its own right… I didn’t think about the doctor’s name… I didn’t even think about beer instead of “clear”… just a doctor trying to be cool in front of his younger colleagues at a moment of life or death! Human vanity exposed… which is the role of satirical art.

Well, if he has to leave the medical profession, he can always become a Supreme Court Justice.

Humor can take a dark turn. Just so it isn’t taken so seriously.

I have a doctor Patel and not once has he mentioned beer.
