In all seriousness though, when was the last time we heard Lucy speak? I remember her talking when the twins were first introduced, but has she said anything “on screen” since then? Agnes seems to have become their joint spokesperson.
The problem with winning an event like the science fair, math olympiad, tri-county art contest and spelling bee is that when people ask what you’ve done, you have to say “the science fair, math olympiad, tri-county art contest and spelling bee.” Every time. It gets so old.
Interesting dichotomy here. It appears Agnes is the “leader” and speaks for the twins, whereas Lucy is the “achiever” who strives to accomplish things. Technically, from a bio-genetic perspective, they both likely have fairly equivalently strong “leader” and “achiever” skill potentials….. but their interaction with each other is shaping each to favor and develop one pathway over the other.
I like these two characters that OJ has added very much, and I hope they continue to be frequently part of the presented life of Nancy.
Children find if they are smarter than those around them even the teachers get on their case. Lucy is being careful or not interested in touting. Better for her that her sister does in her place.

The spelling bee left her mute.

I get a bit of a Tahani/Kamilah vibe from those two.

It’s tough to be an introvert.
