Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

I am discovering better shows on the cable networks. I recommend Leverage, Covert Affairs, Rizzoli & Isles, and The Glades. Good Shows and worth putting up with the commercials.
As for Network TV- loose all those “reality shows” that aren’t real.
Now that football is over (Geaux Saints), the dust catcher sets there. If you want to avoid some of the commercial and pimping; program to skip the 5-10 minutes around the hour and half hour. Algurka: TV dinners, eh?
I never stop on a station while a commercials on so it goes, commercial commercial commercial times 90. Then I arrive at PBS where theres a pledge drive. Back to TCM.
Lots of shows are available on Netflix, whole seasons at a time and we’ve enjoyed that. No commercials. Pause when you need a break. Skip episodes you don’t like, or watch all of them at one sitting (we did that with Heroes—took all night!). We aren’t hooked up to the networks at all. Haven’t been for 40 years!

Irv, you can do that with a DVR, actually the best way to watch most things on TV.

Just forget the TV and watch the microwave! It’s every bit as informative without all the commercials to drive you bats!

With all the commercials, I’m turning my TV on less and less. I’m going outside more often and am reading more books.

Put the TV in the microwave. That ought to do things right.

We haven’t had TV since 1990 and haven’t missed a thing! One of the best decisions we ever made!

Yukoner suggested putting the tv in the microwave. Is that how you make TV Dinners?
