Actually, if he can get the users to just follow the suggestions instead of having to be convinced, the help desk process works better (with the admitted caveat that most first-level help desk reps don’t really know anything about the software and are just going through a script and can waste the time of a tech-savvy user who will have already tried all of the basic solutions).
I want to thank everyone who has posted so far (10:20 AM GMT, Saturday) for not saying anything about Batman being created by Bob Kane. Now I won’t need my blood pressure meds until later. (Kane, at best, suggested the name. And evidence indicates he may have wanted to use Birdman until Bill Finger, who made most of the contributions, talked him out of it.)
