@Flight Suit - agree that the first pic is a cinquecento. In my younger days in the Army stationed in Italy, we could buy a used one for a couple hundred, and then overhaul it for another hundred, and keep it on the road for another 3 years, when the cycle started over again.
Growing up in NYC in the 50’s, the ice man was still a relatively common sight. They had this gas-powered ice chipper in the back too, so they could deliver crushed ice as well as block. My Italian grandmother had a fridge, but she still called it the “ice-a box-a”.
Oh, and the seltzer man usually came along right behind him…
The convertible furniture is a great 21st-century addition to an idea that came out with Castro Convertibles (“who’s the first to conquer living space?”).

I live in an area where you often don’t go from point A to point B without going over a bridge or through a tunnel. One day, a truck carrying hogs broke down at the entrance to a major bridge tunnel and the occupants escaped. The tunnel had to be closed until they could be captured, causing major traffic.
Where’s the traffic jam? It would go well with toast and bacon.

On the blog, I see that typography is now digitized and in the logos there is a lot of room for innuendo; I’ll want more at the Chinese restaurant, but the jazz club is best.

Nitpicking car enthusiast time!
I am almost certain that the baked chicken car in the first pic…
http://obituarytypo.blogspot.com/2011/01/vw-art.html
Is not a VW. I believe that underneath all that baked chicken, you will find a Fiat 500.
Here are some pics for reference:
