Trump is, as I’ve described him before, a boisterous buffoon. A brassy and brash salesman, who did Not create division and conflict – he instead recognized and tapped into a large reservoir of heartland disagreement with Liberal / Progressive political and cultural ideology, and successfully rode that populist resistance to the White House. The Democratic Party, for all their post 2018 election fire and zeal, appear unable to even approach any internal consensus on direction; just oodles of would-bes trumpeting their personal ambitions. But it’s early yet, and the party will likely avoid the path to self-destruction it seems to be on at the moment.
“If you were to go back in history and take every president, you’d find that the numerical value of each letter in their name was equally divisible into the year in which they were elected. By my calculations, our next president has to be named Yellnick McWawa.” — Cliff Claven, CHEERS

I think Stephen Colbert (and James Corden) do a better job at making fun of how many Democratic candidates there are…

Just like the Republiclans, the field will be winnowed down. However, our candidate will be connected to objective reality and emotionally stable.

After all, Continuous Campaigning is a Republican invention.
Karl Rove is bursting his buttons, along with Bush/Cheney. You should be, too.

There should be a law, as there is in the UK, that prohibits such early campaigning for general elections.
