The Fasts and the Bergans were friends in Lynn Lake; two of our favourite families. I loved to put the names of people we knew in the strip. It was a funny surprise. After the strip was published, their friends and family would contact them! It was a wonderful, continuing surprise.

That pie would not keep until tomorrow in my house!

I once got up late, rushed getting ready for work, drove the 15 miles to the plant, got there barely in time, only to notice the parking lot was empty. . . . it was Saturday. By the time I got home the wife was up, and giggled about that all day long.

Well, the emergency dinner system has been successfully tested. It appears she passed.

Look at the calendar first, then the clock.

I met a writer a couple of years ago when we had gone to the Sawtooth outback. He was still using pen and paper to write his book.

I remember one summer day I had worked and was dog tired when I got home. Decided to take a nap. Got undressed and laid in bed( a very bad idea)Woke up after a few hours, noticed the time and thought it was the next day and was late for work. Panic set in. It took me a while to realize it was the same day.

That’s why I use my phone for reminders, I can set it for the date and not have to worry about it so much.
