My parents dog does this as soon as you give her a treat. she runs off to HER chair (where she has a blanket she can get under) and will bury her treat in it and then come back and beg for another.
Do we ever do what we are supposed to do Ziggy? This reminds me of sock story I read about a woman whos husband would leave his socks lay around. She was constantly picking up his socks and was upset about it all the time. One day her husband suddenly dies. Now she wishes those socks were there for her to pick up. Be kind to FUZZ.
Our little female chihuahua mix will sometimes hide her chewbones in a chair or in a shoe, and then try to steal the ones we give to her step-uncle. Later she goes back and finds hers, if she remembers or comes across them.
I had a malamute/shepherd mix who not only put her bones under my blankets, but managed to get them all the way to the foot of the bed. It was a yucky surprise the first time around.

With it being so cold, Ziggy didn’t have to break his dog from the tree.

I don’t think that is happening any time soon, Ziggy!
My dog doesn’t make it out of sight before the treat is gone!

“This is likely the only pawing and messing that bed will ever see, Zig, so give him a break.”

He wants breakfast in bed, of course.

But it’s cold outside, and the poor bone might get lonely.
