We people don’t appreciate the fine social sense of scents. We used to, but now we try to either mask it or eliminate it. Sorry Sophie, we just think it stinks. You may notice when we look at a car we usually spend way more time at the front end than the back end.
I would allow my Turbo to sniff everything on the first half of our walkies (we took long walks) but – hey – 5 minutes for each blade of grass gets to be a bit much…

Let your dog sniff some things on their walk. The purpose is not to get done a quickly as possible.
