I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen that quote since Trump took office.

Mr Rogers is/was one of two people who could be dorky and cool at the same time. The other was also on PBS.

Momma always said, “Stupid is as stupid does. So, turn off ‘Sesame Street’ and go read a book, Fred.”

On SUPERNATURAL, a kind character loses his soul so he no longer has an emotional anchor. He solves this problem by asking himself “what would Mr. Rogers do?” and does it. It works.

Thanks, Mr Cavna…for this (beautifully rendered) salute to my longtime neighbor, Fred Rogers.

If the self-involved dictators would just stop trying to enslave and impoverish us, the rest of us could make a pretty nice world. Fred was right, just as I believe young Anne Frank had it right. It’s always those twisted in childhood with issues still unresolved who ruin it for those who are good at heart.

Happy Birthday, Fred. Truly, you are one of those ‘caring people’
