No better way to start the day than with Red and Rover

Seems like a fair deal to me.

In 1941 Bologna on white Wonder bread was a forbidden delicacy. However I was always able to trade gourmet Pepperidge bread sandwich[s] cut in quarters with garden vegetables, cucumber, onion & watercress from our Chatham NJ victory garden.

Ah…the ubiquitous bologna sandwich on white bread. I had the pleasure of consuming more than my share. But what is a Scooter pie?

When I first started working for Duke Power at 19 years old I carried the same thing for lunch every day. Two ham sandwiches with just mustard, a can of pork and beans, a can of vanilla pudding, and a thermos full of “mama’s” sweet tea! That was in 1974 and it still sounds good to me right now!

The poor kid is undernourished. He needs to stop letting the dog eat his food.

I don’t think that is a fair trade, Rover. Nice try though.
