How does one lose their tricycle in an under-swing trench?

I’m not familiar with the under swing trench..

Just swing and jump to clear the trench.

Next panel would have a ladder coming up out of the trench.

I’m surprised Dill hasn’t found one of his brothers runaway grocery carts.

One of the funniest strips I’ve read in a long time!

If ya can’t find Kevin’s hat, it must really be deeper than deep.

Ah.. a classic. But so very many of Mr. Thompson’s Cul de Sac strips could be described that way.

Here I am at 75 remembering my fears of the under-swing trench… :^)

How deep, indeed! Dill; Kevin the Buckethead; Beni; plus all that stuff that Dill enumerated. And all this from scuffing one’s feet beneath the swing!

Is our Alice doomed to swing above the Bottomless Pit forever?

Need to be careful they don’t contract trench mouth.
