One thing different, with large projects, nowadays is that the teacher gives out a plan, almost like a business plan, that a child takes home and due dates for each step are checked off. With the internet, this plan is followed up through with the parents as well. I’m talking about my 7 year old granddaughter who is in grade 2 this year. I was so impressed with the follow up from the teacher, which is all new to me since it wasn’t done in my day, 60+ years ago, and even in my daughter’s day 35+ years ago….
They get to do diorama projects in middle school? I’m pretty sure the only projects I had were boring textbook assignments and putting up with the scum of the earth.

That was always a terrible feeling, to realize that you forgot to do some big homework assignment the morning of the day it’s due.

She was apparently smoking something and playing with a turtle in the sewers avoiding alligators. Keep up Dean!
