I was immediately reminded of the Cheech & Chong bit (part of “Sister Mary Elephant,” if memory serves) where the high school kid is reading his “What I did on my Summer Vacation” essay. On the first day of vacation (he recites), he went downtown to look for a job, then hung out all day in front of the drugstore. He repeats this for days two and three, then finally reports that on the fourth day of vacation he got a job — keeping kids from hanging out in front of the drugstore.
