    Sometimes you have to give the mechanic a ride, or let him drive the car, before he hears the squeak, and even then some will just pass it off as normal wear and tear. At least until the muffler finally falls off on I-90 at 70 miles per hour.

    That is either one BIG elevator, or one TINY building….I’m going for tiny building, seeing as the size of the humans matches the elevator.

    The elevator is partially sentient — its AI dreams that it is actually in the Wonka Chocolate Factory and it wants the occupants to press Up and Out.
