This one is something almost all of can relate to. But, the older we get the more likely we will actually say what we feel. A few days ago I called a stranger an a**h*le because he was being one. I’ve never done that before and I don’t regret it.

1. I would not have bought the muffin – gross, 2. I would have let the owner or manager know why I did not buy the muffin. Age has its privileges.

The first thing you were going to say would have been better. But, that’s why Ginger didn’t come with you. She knew you wouldn’t tell him what you wanted to say.

If the bakery has no qualms about it’s counter staff, how good could the muffin really be?

This is what 4% unemployment looks like.

I worked in a retail store years ago. You couldn’t have visible tattoos, your hair had to be neat, your clothes clean and presentable, etc. Now I go in that store and it’s totally different. I have to say, it does reflect on the whole store…………but, I still shop there and know it wouldn’t do a bit of good to express my feelings. Not sure I would buy a blueberry muffin from this guy, though.

Yep ’cause if you speak your mind, you get more than blueberries in the muffin—-perhaps a rassspppppberry

I can relate, though, to your “wished” reaction.

You handled it correctly, Lennie, but I agree with stairsteppublishing, I would not have bought the muffin. Am I missing Ginger??

I’ll go out on a limb and bet he didn’t say thank you for coming in.
