I took a history class at the local community college, in one of the essay exams there was a question about the tactics used by the roman empire in combat, I misunderstood the question and my answer was based on the Roman stratagies. When I got the exam back the teacher pointed out the difference, but admitted that the question was ambiguious and he could see how I made the mistake, and it was clear that I did understand Roman combat stratagies so he gave me full credit for the question.

Thanks, Baldo, for giving the teacher a heads-up. She’ll be sure to mark it.

Well, Mr. Baldo, since the book and I agree, and I have the red pencil, I’m afraid you’re outnumbered.

He wrote 59 when the real answer was 62. But the 59 is cooler looking.

As a teacher, I could be “swayed” by creative answers. But it was plain to see when someone was just BSing.
