I sense tanning in Zonker’s future.

Zonker actually can’t stand baby-sitting?

Yup. There he is. Mr Reliable he is not and will never be.

As to leaving kids unattended, check out The Coddling of the American Mind for an analysis of how we’ve taken helicopter parenting to a ridiculous extreme and the way it’s handicapping upcoming generations because they never learn how to deal with adversity, let alone adventure.

One of the most outrageous examples was the mom who got arrested for running into the drugstore for 10 minutes and leaving her child unattended in the car. At first blush, that might not seem unreasonable, until you learn that the girl was 11 years old!

Uh Zonker….you’re the Nanny, remember?
