I went to grade school in the 60s. Recess was more than just a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon. It was a way for kids to burn off excess energy by playing and running around. Today most schools have so many regulations that kids are not allowed to do anything and then they wonder why the kids are hyper in class.
We had 2 slides, one rather small and one that seemed big to elementary children, two sets of swings one with a pair of teter tottors attached, a jungle gym, a couple teterball poles a basket ball basket and a self propelled merry-go-round you had to pump to rotate, all on an asphalt playground and I only remember a few bumps and bruises in the K through 5th grade years I was there. This was in the mid to late fifties. We also had fire drills, tornado drills and learned how to duck and cover under our desks in case of atomic bombs.

Let’s say the play ground only has a sandbox and a hopscotch pad. How would you die from those?

“Kill all the lawyers”? Just put them on the playground and let nature take it’s course.

That is a line from a Shakespeare play, but it was said by an evil character.

Everyone hates lawyers until they need a lawyer.
