Wally looks like a rescued abused wild animal, who’s gone through a lot and doesn’t know if he can trust his rescuers.

…or perhaps like someone who feels like he’s just made a bargain with the devil by trading freedom for security.

The boy does sweat alot.

I think she likes him, and she’s thinking about “getting serious”. He is looking like a batchelor…(deer caught in the headlights look).

Kind of like the bloody nosed rat that I threw in the dumpster yesterday. You’re going to a better place, for you. The health department thinks I need to set the traps. I don’t kill the survivors.

Might the “snap” be the sound or her jaws snapping shut? Gators have very powerful muscles used in the closing action. Just a theory… That would be kinda sinister, wouldnt it?

I’m happy to hear that you don’t kill the survivors. Rats get such a bad rap. I guess they could easily do that, but I had pet rats for years. They were clean, intelligent, loving, didn’t smell, can’t carry rabies, enjoy human companionship and all round good little critters. I had an old one who wanted to sleep next to me on the pillow. He was losing a battle with age and needed the close contact. I miss them a lot.
