Later, the Blank ate his big sister when she couldn’t catch the chicken. A dysfunctional family.

Chicken = potato + beak. They’re dumber than dirt, but on the other hand, they have some pretty strange characteristics.

Johnny’s whole point was that killing was no fun. I realize that puts him in a minority with many people, but that doesn’t make him a fraud if he eats chicken. it’s about the killing, the actual life extinguishing that he doesn’t want to take part in

the whole “killing” thing is a bit of a concern… when I was a scoutmaster there was a program to teach city kids about killing to survive… (now there are a few TV survivor shows that serve the same purpose) at that time the thought was a person could become weak to the point that they couldn’t produce the protein needed to live… think the point was more apocalyptical than simply lost in the wilderness… we started with fish, moving up to chickens then rabbits, killed, cleaned and ate… kids loved it, not so much their moms.. and I was surprised that a number of the other leaders had problems with the exercise… remember if it’s easy to catch and kill, you might want to pass as it could be sick… having no natural enemies, porcupines are an exception, just be careful.. bit gamy, but ok….

re: the Blog… Your picture of Ft. Boyard - must be a pic of somebody’s model of the original fort. Either that or they got them some biiiiig birds in that part of the world! Other than the bird and the little model people on the inside ledge, it looks like an amazing reproduction.

Shave and a haircut - two bits!

Loved the canoe photo… and the luggage… and - aw, I love ‘em all.

Recognize the Marilyn pose/image? With Elvis perhaps?

I am glad I never get chicken from the golden arches, so should johnny diego. Ugh, Treats for geeks. Hunting is not the problem, it’s these bulk processor screw ups.

I believe I’d read about the chicken head in the past; and I’ve been in a McDonald’s in Southern IL where the workers would not notice that there was a chicken head among the other parts…
