there was no pet to whom to say “we’re home” when my parents, brother, and I returned from our summer road trip in 1998; we had to put the aging cat down the week or day before we left
When I was 17, my family went on an extended, 3-week vacation, driving down the east coast, then heading west to Texas. Months before we left, there was a cat that was hanging around our home. She never asked for food; just pats and cuddles. We figured that she’d find us gone and stop hanging around. My grandmother was watching our house for us. When we got home…there the cat was, sitting on our porch, waiting for us. However, my grandmother told us that the cat had not been there 1 day while we were gone! (Long story short, we found her actual owners, who gave her to us, where she lived happily ever after to the end of her days.)
Yes missed Jason, gave a kiss.I remember we had a cat, husband and I went for a few days away, our kids done with HS and adults, when we did get back they said the cat kept looking for us, when we got back the cat jumped on each of our laps and demanded love, yes he missed us. That cat lived age 22.
