    Last panel reminds me of M. Sendak for some reason…

    He a group imaginary person. This seems like the perfect opening for some political snakiness, but I think I’ll keep it to myself.

    Am I an imaginary friend? People generally act like I’m not there.

    @cdward: we appreciate your restraint.

    Yeah, now that it’s mentioned, I think Andre does have a little Wild Thing in him …

    I appreciate the panel separator between panels 2 and 3, combining them as it does. A nice touch.

    When I was a kid, we all shared a bunch of group hallucinations/misconceptions. Ernesto is DEFINITELY still imaginary. And, of course, he’s a comic strip character, which kind of seals the deal.

    JHSayers - well in that respect, yes, the whole cast is imaginary - from Richard Thompson’s weird and wonderful imagination. But within the context of the strip, I’m still convinced that Ernesto is imaginary.

    I’m so glad that Petey has Andre as a friend. He’s just what Petey needs.

    Yes, this has to be mass hallucination syndrome!

    I too, like the way the 2nd and 3rd panels are done.
