In response to daleandkristen from yesterday, yes, Mark was the one in the terrible car accident with me and our sister, Mary. Mark was in the hospital a long time, but Mary and I were lucky and were not badly injured. I came away with no more than a minor bruise or two, as recall. It’s sort of hard to believe the accident was 2 years ago now.
This sucks… had an open house today and the agent texted me at 9:00 PM to tell me about it and casually mentioned that the light switch in the hall was sparking and he could hear it crackle!
I’m now here in the dark because I went out and threw all the switches for the lights. I don’t know which one was for the hall, so I did them all!
I’ll call an electrician first thing tomorrow. He could have told me this afternoon at three when the open house was over!!!
About all those “volunteer” tomato plants that came up in my garden… I dug up dozens of “clumps” of them, separated a lot of them and potted them up. I put some in the little 6-pack things like you get from garden centers and I put a lot more in individual paper cups (I knew that the bunch of paper cups I got free at a moving sale once would come in handy some day). Anyway, over the course of a few days, I put 130 tomato plants out on a card table in front of my house with a big “Free tomato plants” sign. When I got home from work last night, there were only 7 plants left. I’m very pleased about that. I still have lots more clumps I could pot up and still lots more clumps in the garden, but I don’t know how many more plants I’ll try to save before I have to just let them go to the weed pile.
No TV, no internet, no phone since LAST TUESDAY!!!!!
First, a 45 minute wait to get a live human who had an Indian/Pakistani accent so bad, you could cut it with a butter knife. This person said someone will be out Wed 11 to 1.
Second, Wed 2 PM…there is no record of us having a problem. The person did not submit the problem to their computer records. OK, somebody will be out Thursday.
Thursday, the guy says our problem is outside the house…at the pole. He DOES NOT DO poles. He’ll report it to the pole people.
Friday, we have to call again, ‘cause no one came. “We are sorry, but they will come on Monday!
Monday…there is joy in Mudville.
I have 124 messages in my Inbox, my comics are backed up from last Tuesday!
I’m back reading from last Tuesday, but I’m sorry for anyone’s trials and tribulations that I missed.
There’s up to 300+ messages/ BCN comic, I just don’t have enough time to read/respond to all of them.

@noreenkloss. Oy…SISTER!!!!! At half hour intervals I have had to reboot my modem as no steady phone or internet since 11:00 pm last night. Spectrum technician tried all kinds of technical stuff this afternoon. No dice….still unreliable. I guess I’ll go exchange the modem tomorrow at our local Spectrum. Same thing happened on June 6th and it’s been perfect until now. The TV, she explained, is set up differently so no issue with that. One good thing is that I’ve not received a single Robocall. When my internet goes down I hook on to a next door neighbor’s wi-fi automatically and vice versa for her with mine. MAKE ’EM PAY for your inconvenience, etc, Noreen.
