I was just re-reading some of my Aragones paperback collections the other day, Simon, and one of them had his “The Shadow Knows” cartoons. I’m sure that he would get a kick out of this one.
When I was 8 and was left alone at night, I would listen to “The Shadow” on the radio, and it would scare me like I can imagine Lio is frightened being auto-anthromorphized.

For a young lad, Lio definitely has some deep, inner fears. He obviously feels swallowed up by his current life. Maybe he needs a new mom…
