Sarah: SUMMER! Doormat insects

I understand that many insect populations are in decline, and can see how this is a cause for worry. But it’s hard to remember that while counting my bug bites.
Yes, there are always some. But by the Solstice in Maine, most of the blackflies and no-see-um’s have gone so it’s much better!
Ah yes,the Summer of Zika,West Nile,and fat,fat, ticks.Wonderful.
Cicadas.
This year’s fleas are immune to my pet’s flea drops, sprays. and vacuum cleaners.
I saw a fat bumble bee yesterday, first in years!
Sarah should have drawn an antennae or wing or something, not a human arm. But that’s a minor complaint.
Insects got hands, clams got legs.
