    There are no snakes in the UK apart from the adder snake and grass snake. The Adder is poisonous but mostly in countryside. If Fred sees a grass snake then he would not need to be worry cos it is not poisonous. they’re mostly both in gardens and in the countryside.

    Used to work with a guy who was deathly afraid of snakes. He used to say there was only one kind of snake. The “hydrophobius cotton back rattle moccasin” which was venomous and must be destroyed on sight.
