Can fresh green beans be used instead of canned? (I never buy canned vegetables, I don’t need the sugar they put in the water.)
Oh, and what about frozen corn, as opposed to canned?
Mixed rinsed, drained beans with sliced cherry tomatoes. No corn. Dash/splash hot pepper flakes and a bit of paprika.
We grew up using creamed corn, but then as an adult, the school I worked at used green beans, like you mention. I like both ways so now we use both vegetables, though my husband swears it’s supposed to be frozen veggies.
