Calvin has the typical “kid going to school” look in the last panel. LOL!

Not to worry Calvin, someday you’ll be big enough to toss someone out the door into the snow.

The spirit was willing, but the flesh looks bleak.

How smart can his body be,with his spirit still in bed? Dose not matter how I say it ,thats hard to do unless Hobbes can get involved .

Whenever I have something I don’t want to review myself, I send in a persona known as Nestor C. Bum to do it.

I’ve had a lot of kids like that in my classroom.

My spirit is always in bed while my body is in school

It would be great if they made Calvin & Hobbes into a movie…constant mayhem…hmm

Once a year, my mom used to offer us a “mental health” day. Some years it was not necessary, because like this winter we had a lot of snow days. Once you had the day off, however, there was no more fooling around. It could not be a day when there was a test. Mental Health days were like any other sick day. We were not allowed to play outside even after school hours. It was an option but to accept it meant giving up a lot. I think my mom was smart. The offer was there but we rarely took advantage of it.

I wish Calvin’s spirit would stay on his side of the bed.

Personally, I prefer to keep body and spirit together.

My spirit kicked me out of bed at 3:45 this morning, fortunately my spirit joined me.

Ahh, he whooo gets tossed out the door shows Mom real SOLE.

Looks like a rather spirited discussion today.

I often have these out of body experiences. Around 9 AM my spirit finally catches up to me and I realize I am standing in my classroom hopefully teaching physics and not chinese. Luckily my students’ spirits are just catching up as well!

My alarm clock used to kick my spirit out of bed at 5 AM. After about three hours and three cups of coffee, my body joined my spirit.

Well Calvin no staying home. A lot of adults would rather stay in bed then go in.

The look in the last panel is priceless….lol love it!

I love the way Calvin is thrown out in panel three. I always imagine him landing on his head…

My spirit stayed in bed this morning when I had to go to work. I think it’s still there, too. Feelin’ your pain, Calvin!

Some days my body and spirit are rarely in the same place at the same time. Today, for example, my spirit is still in bed catching up on her beauty sleep while my tired body is dragging around, doing things it doesn’t want to do but has no choice and is doing them anyhow.

Wouldn’t it be great to be a telepath – you could do all your schooling from bed!

Calvin’s face in the last panel looks like my grandfather, God rest his soul. Really quite striking…

A Calvin and Hobbes animated movie is the best idea EVER. It could be absolutely great! Mr. Watterson, you need to get to work on that right away while you still can.

Just think of all the adventures that could be crammed into one feature film.

Who would provide the voice overs for them? Any suggestions from anyone?

If I stayed in bed then I would get a stiff sore back. I got to get up and start moving around.

Hey n7326Foxtrot,thanks for clearing that up for me,it takes 3 cups of coffee for me to get both together also.

After waking up early the last three days to do breakfast before Morning Prayer, I’m ready to join my spirit in bed and get a nap in before the week gets going.

This morning my spirit decided to go jogging and asked my body to come along for company my body told my spirit you go ahead i’ll catch up, i wonder if my spirit has got the hint yet

It’s 4 pm and I just woke from my afternoon siesta and my spirit and body have FINALLY got back together!

my spirit often stays in bed, then teachers complain that i dont work properly (though i have physics first thing tomorrow so it might not just be me … )

How come Calvin has to go to schools and Hobbs doesn’t?

I hated having to get up for school. Then my dad would come in my room and drag me out of bed by my ankle! Like Calvin, I had no choice in the matter.

I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO VOICE OVERS FOR AN ANIMATED CALVIN AND HOBBES…

This is my granddaughter every morning now when it’s time for preschool! She’s different than Calvin though because she loves it once she gets there.
