I believe that in this case, it’s the fame by proxy syndrome: “I didn’t become (an actor, singer, sports professional, …) even though I wanted to, so my progeny will whether they want to or not!”
Poor kid prob’ly has “helicopter parents”, who hover, discover, then turn a fun thing into a mission, killing uninhibited ambition. Kids need to play to develop their abilities. Encourage them, acknowledge them, but let them find their likes and dislikes on their own. Nurture them, and they’ll do the growing.

Don’t let them turn you into the primary breadwinner before you are 16 without gaining emancipation. See the Panabaker girls.
