Dicky: Oh, Jesus. Not this song. Hell no. The whole premise is messed up. Tommy: You don't like the little drummer boy ? Dicky: I get it. The kid's poor. But still wants to do something for baby Jesus. It's sweet. But any way you look at it. A drum solo is a super shitty gift for a newborn. Dicky: I don't know who wrote that song. But only a sociopath would think "oh, you walked through a desert and gave birth in a filthy manger next to a bunch of camels? I bet what you need right now is a small child on a percussion instrument!" Dicky: You know what's a better gift? anything. Tommy: It's a shame there was no little hand sanitizer boy. I bet they woulda loved to seen him.

That’s like that one Christmas song that has the line“Shivers in the cold, let us bring him silver and gold”Like dude! If he’s shivering in the cold, bring him a darn blanket!Oh that line has irked me to no end. I really despise that song!

I like the representation on family guy, even if it is sacreligious.

Still a better song than Christmas Shoes. And still a better love story than Twilight.

The little drummer boy is a less convincing story that Jesus himself … not to mention it is very localized (never heard of it outside any english country).

I think that his complaints are accurate, but I think he’s focusing on the gift more than the giver. Remember, this kid is poor, and in the song, he specifically says, “I have no gift to bring.” I think that baby Jesus would have been happy that the kid was trying to give him some kind of a gift, even if the parents didn’t really appreciate it assuming he was a bad player.

The other song in the series, “The Little Kazoo Girl”, hasn’t survived to modern times.

I rather like the discovery that Jeremy, James and Richard, the 3 wise guys from Top Gear made when THEY got to Bethlehem… the little Baby Stig, asleep in his manger…complete with helmet and driving suit.

Better than “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano.

You don’t know what you’re talking about, never having experienced any adversity and living a shelter life. Bunch of Grinches.

I was laughing SO hard at this!!!Years ago I saw a cartoon in a magazine where 2 of the Wise Men were carrying the gold & frankincense . The third one was carrying a box of diapers! (It had the brand name but to save this strip from being sued I won’t mention the name!)
