How I start every meal with my kids
C'mon why not try a bite? I bet you'll think it's really yummy!
How I end every meal with my kids
Just eat it! It's food you need it to live!!
As a child I could not keep cooked spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, or brussels sprouts down for more than 10 seconds. As an adult I can tolerate spinach leaves in a salad and raw broccoli with a good dip. As an adult I can pick and choose my veggies. I even grow my heirloom tomatoes.
We had a very simple approach. We put on the table what there was. They could choose to eat it or not. As an alternative, we always kept some chopped up veggies (usually peppers or broccoli) in the fridge that they could have any time they wanted. Oh, and we required them to eat at the table every meal.

I never forced my kids to eat something they didn’t like. Eventually, they came around on their own….no muss no fuss!
