Hubbs thinks this a story of hate and betrayal while we the audience knows this is a story of love and comedy. Is there a term for this type of irony?

Well, the silly pink lacing is still there, so maybe Hubbs is just too dumb for Ellie and will remain lost in the ozone. It has always been very obvious that “Al” is a girl, esp since they worked up a sweat together in close proximity on the gridiron, and a girl ALWAYS smells like a girl. He’s even been in her home for an extended time, and still couldn’t smell her desire. Maybe Sudafed would help…

So, I guess it wasn’t Big Sal’s ghost.
