Unless there can be a wall built between Indiana and Chicago (which will make many Indianans unemployed) then the lax gun laws of Indiana will continue to be responsible for supplying guns in Chicago. Look at the shooting at the Gilroy Garlic festival in CA; the guns came from Nevada.
Chicago as a right-wing talking point on gun control is both (a) racist and (b) totally misleading.
Chicago does not, as is often claimed, have “the toughest gun laws in the country.”Chicago is very close to two states that have relatively weak gun laws: Wisconsin and Indiana.A 2015 study of guns in Chicago found that more than 60% of new guns used in Chicago gang-related crimes and 31.6% used in non-gang-related crimes between 2009 and 2013 were bought in other states.
Guns, especially those with high capacity and large caliber, are definitely responsible for making the carnage worse and need to be controlled better but there has to be an effort to reduce the will to do harm. To attack the idea that entered our thinking with those Billy Jack and Rambo movies that “at some point” this behavior is justified. Without that initiative those deprived of guns will use other available means.

“Like they have in Chicago?” No, like they have in every advanced western nation except this one.

The NRA will churn out guns for every gang member.
While republicans continue to deny the AT&F a computer to track stolen guns.
