meh..MLB has juiced the ball and keeps lowering the mound, why this is the HR era. Why I gave up on baseball many years ago. I liked the games when the Manager had to decide when to pull the pitcher for a batter with a much better batting average, back when infield hits decided games, back when 7 people didn’t just stand around waiting for the next batter to hit a HR or strike out

It’s more likely the “hot balls theory”, that suggests that certain balls have been warmed to a specific temperature to achieve specific an outcome.
