Well, Mike. She probably wants something from Elly. That’s how it usually works in this comic strip when the kids start doing their chores.

Michael, you should learn to pull your own weight and do some of the household chores every once in a while… scratch that… make that more often.

Oh Mike, she is excited about her mommy baking a new baby and wants to do things for her so she would rest for the baby. It is a girl thing. One day you will be doing stuff for your pregnant wife.

Elizabeth is so sweet!

There are those kids that as soon as they start being helpful you begin to ask, “Okay, what do you want?”

I’m sort of with Michael here. What’s up?

Reminds me of some local boys years ago: The boys bought a bunch of 2X4s and working on the side of the house. Dad asks what they were doing: replied that they had noticed mom’s rose trellis was in bad shape, so they were replacing it. Hmmm 2X4s for a trellis? Later learned they were using it to slip out of upstairs bedroom at night!

Watch Elizabeth, Mike. You might learn a thing or two. It’s obvious the dad in this comic doesn’t teach his son to help around the house.

Girls mature years earlier than boys. However, having raised 3 daughters I have to add that they are much better liars than boys(1 son) Girls will also lie to your face, knowing all the while that you know they are lying. But doing it anyway(like I said, 3 daughters)

Too bad Michael is such a selfish knob.
