My cats sometimes have disagreements too – and they do “hit” each other.

    Today is:

National Middle Child Day. I was not the first born nor the last born, but instead I was #9 out of 10. I guess that doesn’t qualify as “middle”.

National Vinyl Record Day. I still have a record collection from the 1970’s. I probably haven’t played any of them since the 1990’s or so.

    National Julienne Fries Day.

    World Elephant Day

I was on my computer last night, visiting here and also playing my Solitaire games. I was in the middle of Solitaire when a thunderstorm came along. It didn’t bother me because the thunder all seemed distant, until suddenly, there was a big flash of lightning and a huge BOOM! I knew it hit someplace close. I wondered if it hit a tree in my back yard. I decided it might be a good idea to get off the computer if lightning was hitting so close. But I wanted o finish my Solitaire game first (and then another game, and another game, etc). Anyway, I finally shut down the computer and went to bed 10-15 minutes later. I had barely turned off the lamp by my bed when I heard fire trucks go by my house. The sirens stopped someplace real close to my house, so of course I had to get up and look out the window. I couldn’t see for sure where the fire was because my view was blocked by the neighbor’s big tree, but I could see it was just half a block away where the fire trucks stopped. I determined it was either the church or one of the houses near there. I found out in the morning that the lightning that hit so close by me had hit the church steeple. The fire was reported at around 2:45 am. Damage was limited to the steeple and bell tower. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. I’m sorry for the members of that church, but I’m glad it wasn’t someone’s house that caught fire.

I am recovering this morning from a sudden onset of sickness that lasted about 24 hours. Felt tired but fine when we returned home from 3 days in Laguna, then suddenly I was nauseated then violently ill all night and the next day. Now I m just exhausted. I missed my volunteer day at our historic fish hatchery, and a perfect 85 degree summer day which is unheard of here. Too sick to even check on 10 kitties!

The cat’s arguments reminds me of our car trips to Minnesota, mid 1950s. Three kids in the back seat, and it was ‘he touched me!’ Did not, did so….Then Mom reaching over from the front seat to swat the nearest kid. Those were the days.

Not feeling all that good today. Boss told me to go home after the morning shifts.

I’ve been in bed since i got home.

Probably going back to work tonight to put my early morning client back to bed. I have tomorrow off, so i’ll probably be in bed tomorrow as well.

I remember reading a Shoe comic in one of my Shoe books where the letters to editor section of the newspaper solely consisted of letter proclaiming “Is Not!” or “Is Too!”

Can’t say I blame Annie. On another note, saw some bees while out walking today. Thankfully, I did not get stung. I figure, if you leave bees alone, they won’t bother you. (I could be wrong about that, though.) I had a neighbor who raised bees. I used to buy honey from him.
