    Ha! In the first panel, Billy is talking about this event:

    In a nutshell: Soon after inauguration, the LHC had to be closed down for a year due to a helium leak. Shortly before being re-opened, during some tests there was an an interruption in the power supply, which was caused by a piece of baguette dropped by a bird.

    Now, it seems they mean “baguette” as the long french bread, not the sandwich made with such a bread as Billy is interpreting it.
