Alice: Wow, Petey! That's so great! Petey: I'm hoping the pop-up graphic novel format will get some bonus points. Rutherford B. Hayes is a towering figure in American History. His beard-to-face ratio is among the highest of any U.S. president, possibly. When he'd get mad, watch out! His beard would bristle like crazy!

Great effort and lots of creativity, but the teacher is going to want a few facts too.

When you get a lemon as an assignment, just make lemonade. Way to go Petey, and Alice too for the suggestion.

I like how he qualifies his beard-to-face ratio statement with the word “possibly”.

Shoulda used real hair for the beard. Alice could spare a little!

“Fear the beard” should be the subtitle.

Luckily this brother-sister collaboration is focusing on the arts and is likely to be brief, because together they could surely harness enough power to obliterate the universe.
What wonders they will achieve in the meantime though! Just look how poppy that pop-up is!

Love it! When one of my kids was in 8th grade, he salvaged his English grade (and middle school graduation) by doing a pop-up book report on Paul Bunyan. Impressive!
