This would explain what Pluggers tailgates and rear bumpers are bent at a 30-degree angle and the license plate is dangling by a knot of fishing line. Unfortunately the Pluggers in my area drive as poorly forward as they do backward and just as slowly.
Iāve been backing up for Many Years, driving for over 48 years. In construction sites,building material back lots,in the woods,etc. with and without trailers (Goose Neck and Regular) and RVās. I Have never run into anything.
Dad literally-forced me to learn to use the mirrors.(He literally covered the view out the back-cab glass with cardboard.) And always make sure you can see some-BODY, in those side mirrors too, as opposed to just-hearing and/or assuming where he/she is. And heās still my-copilot, even though only-in-spirit now, since heās long-passed. Mirror-backing is a āmust-learnā, especially once you cross-over into the 25,000-GVW-&-up class. It just puts what few-nerves I have left nowadays, to witness what they legally-allow the newest tractor-trailer ādriversā..some, but not all, I should add!ā¦ to NOT-be required to know about actual-driving skills, of much anything bigger or sharper-edged than a mopedā¦
