I could never read when I’m in the coffee shop, can’t concentrate! But I do enjoy the chatter!

And then wonders why the coffee gets cold?

Turn on the radio …..

Chat, chat, clink, clink, oh what a relief it is!

That’s why I always have some kind of noise in the background.

My noise maker thing has a setting for coffee cafe!!!

Totally understand! It’s hard to block out the silence.

I’ve quit drinking my coffee inside the coffee shop – they keep the damn music up so loud I can’t hear myself think. So I just drink it in my car if the weather is decent. Problem is, it has been such a hot summer that I can’t. So they’re losing out on my business. I’ve asked the owner to turn down the sound, but she says ‘corporate’ tells them where the volume must be set at – they “want a happy, fun feeling for the customers”. Hogwash!

I much prefer peace and quiet noise that is too loud and constant.

There’s actually a website that plays the ambient sounds of a coffee shop!

I’ll take this a step further…I’ve stopped eating at restaurants with television sets, too.

Am I the only one here who actually focuses much better in a place where lots of people are talking? I do homework better in a crowded classroom with lots of conversations then my bedroom at home, and to me, there’s nothing like immersing myself in a book when there’s plenty of background chatter!

Thus is how I like it too!

Personally, I prefer the opposite.
