Spiders are our friends! Right up till daughter brought in a tiny silken sac to her room one day. Which we discovered when about a million baby spiders were EVERYWHERE in the house!
I just showed this strip to a Japanese friend. I had to explain the word “squish.” When I rubbed my fist into my palm in a squashing action, she looked horrified. She, and most Japanese, side with Wallace’s camp.

What universe is this? The one that isn’t “sealed for your protection”.

We had two BIIIIIG mommas lurking on our stairs last night. It’s the one thing I really hate about autumn – disagreeably big spiders moving in.

Personally, I live on the outer rim planets, where the spiders are the size of a basketball.

Yeah, in Japan, spiders are mostly welcome in people’s homes for eating other insects. In my apartment building, they keep down the iguana population.

Small to medium spiders get relocated to the houseplants, big scary ones go in the cellar.

FUN FACT. In a lifetime, the average person consumes his own body weight in spiders.

After the 4 giant bites that one left on my neck and back earlier this week, that are NOWHERE near going away, I am with Spud on this on.
