I would change nothing in my past. My mistakes are all mine and they made me who I am. I like who I am and if going back and undoing a mistake might change that, I don’t want to take the risk.
I look back and simply shrug it off, ’The path not taken."
The only things I wish I could undo would be those occasions when I was not as charitable or as nice to people as I could have been. I can only fix that going forward.
Uh, no thanks. I’m finally in charge of my own life, with no family/friends’ melodrama. I’ll stick with my memories. . .Remember a science fiction story I read once . . .people in the society made recordings of their ten best memories. When people became old/infirm/near death in the society, they were put to bed with a continuous loop of their favorite memories. . .
While it might change what happened afterwards, I have often wished I would have been able to walk away from the toxic situation which is/was my family.

Those “mistakes” made me who I am today. Can’t control the past but you can the future

I’m thinking the other way. Somehow I got lucky to get where I am. I don’t want to take the chance of changing that.
